About Zinnia
I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice. Music has always been a transformative force in my life, and I’m passionate about helping others discover that same magic. I specialize in ear training, harmony, and melody—essential tools that shape confident, expressive singers. My teaching covers a wide range of styles including classical, pop, jazz, blues, and movie singing. I also focus on vocal training, music theory, sight singing, and performance techniques that prepare students for the stage or studio. Whether you're a school student, college learner, or aspiring professional, I tailor each lesson to meet your unique goals and strengths. Improvisation, composition, and music history are also central to my lessons, along with modern tools in music technology to enhance creativity. I aim to build both skill and confidence in every session. My approach is structured yet flexible, supportive, and always inspiring. My teaching approach focuses on building vocal confidence, improving pitch accuracy, and unlocking full vocal expression. For learners with a strong musical background like The Fiddler or The Music Major, I offer tailored techniques that complement their existing musical knowledge. Each session is designed to stretch their vocal ability while reinforcing healthy habits.
We begin with breath control exercises and posture alignment to support vocal strength and tone. Pitch drills, scale practice, and controlled warm-ups help sharpen accuracy and consistency. I place great importance on vocal health, incorporating daily routines that protect and strengthen the voice over time.
To support growth, we use tools like ear training apps, metronomes, and recording devices to track progress and reflect on improvements. These tools help identify areas for focus and celebrate milestones. We also explore dynamics, phrasing, and emotional delivery to enrich vocal expression and storytelling.
My goal is to help students sing with confidence, freedom, and musicality. With the right support and a consistent routine, every singer can reach their fullest vocal potential.
