I am a Biochemistry student at the University of Glasgow. I am graduated with the Professional Title of Music with piano as a specialty from the Professional Conservatory of Music of Salamanca (in Spain). Although the piano is my specialty, I can also play the guitar and the ukulele.

Hello! My name is María and I offer music (intonation, rythm, reading, etc.), musical language and piano lessons. I am a hard-working and organized person. My methodology is based on being practical and effective; I believe that getting results in the shortest time and enjoying learning is possible. And above all, practice leads to perfection. The way of learning will always depend on what the student is looking for and what his level is. For beginners wanting to learn a simple base and improve their musical qualities, I offer the possibility of learning a consistent base that will allow them to be able to play any song of any musical style on the piano or, if they are interested, also on the guitar or ukulele. For people with a low or medium level who are studying in a conservatory, I offer a specialized reinforcement lessons in the area they need: help in the preparation of entrance exams, technique reinforcement or help with subjects related to musical language (rhythm, intonation , sight reading and dictation). I adapt to the objectives and needs of the student, trying to find fun ways to teach. Finally, an important point in my methodology is flexibility. Each student is a person with a different backgorund and a way of learning that can differ greatly from the rest. In the first year of my degree, I studied psychology, in which I learned the concept of "equity". This is a concept that teachers often fail to apply in the classroom. In a private lesson it is much easier to be equitable, that is, to apply a personalized method for each student. We are all capable of learning anything. There are no bad students, only incorrect methodologies.
