About Amelia
In 2019, I earned my Bachelor's in Dance, with a Biology minor and Pre-Med affiliation. I have been a tutor for about six years. I started tutoring ACT Prep and Writing, and then I moved to elementary English, Reading, and Science. I have been a college course assistant, pre-AP teaching assistant, private tutor and nanny, and elementary program coordinator

I like to create a personalized lesson plan for each session to address each student's unique needs. I do assign homework, although the assignments may vary depending on the student's academic needs and schedule. I view teaching as a team effort, and I expect my students to reciprocate my contributions.
I have experience in tutoring/mentoring all ages, from preschool to college. My primary approach is one of patience and encouragement. I have great confidence that any student can improve, and my job is to help them get there. Seeing improvement in my students brings me joy, and I strive to boost their personal satisfaction and confidence!

Details
My flat rate of $15/hour also applies to travel time. Any sessions cancelled after the cancellation deadline will incur a 50% charge of the scheduled rate. I require notice of 3 days for in-person and 24 hours for remote.
