About John
My name is John, and I write about teaching, teach about writing, and learned to write by writing! Both my academic and creative writing have received awards in national competitions. Over the past year, my fiction has been featured in 8 different literary magazines, including Flyway, The Headlight Review, and The Miracle Monocle. At Harvard and the University of Iowa, I focused on studying methods of teaching creative writing so that I could approach each lesson, assignment, and student equipped with the forefront of Education scholarship.
