About Rebecca

I specialize in teaching primary school aged children and have a knowledge of the curriculum. I am also adept at teaching secondary and university students. I have a deep understanding of the diverse backgrounds, needs, interests, and learning styles of students. I recognize and value the individuality of each student, specifically regarding their English language skills and their affinity with the subject of English, as well as their perceived talent in this area.
As a proficient English language teacher, I possess a comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter I teach and employ effective pedagogical strategies (such as scaffolding and examples) to facilitate students’ English language development and learning. I can cover The City of Belmont; The City of Canning; Victoria Park; The City of Gosnells; South Perth; East Perth; and The City of Melville.

About the lesson

As an English Language teacher, I possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling me to successfully work together with students of all ages. The lessons are suitable for primary school aged children and older age groups. I develop a good rapport with the students I teach and tailor my lessons to suit the skill level of each student. As an English Language teacher at the Centre for English Language Teaching at the University of WA I conduct engaging and informative lessons. I also ensure my teaching practice is consistent with cultural, gender, developmental, and other individual needs.

Perfect! Rebecca has been teaching my son (year 3) English since the beginning of the year. She is an excellent tutor and my son enjoys her classes. She understood his strengths and weaknesses and has worked to build up on his strengths and improve his weekness. This has reflected in his grades in school and NAPLAN.
