About Emily
I am a Psychology graduate who has been writing on the side for 10+ years. I recently completed my thesis, so I am well-versed in all major writing styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.) as well as research design and structures for papers. I read an average of 2-3 novels a week and have excellent comprehension skills. I also enjoy editing and proof-reading papers. I would love to share my knowledge of grammar, reading, writing, and editing with students and help them enjoy it in the process.

My method for teaching and tutoring begins, first and foremost, by meeting students where they are. By assessing their strengths and weaknesses and ensuring that they have a sound foundation, I can teach them in a style and at a speed which best suits them. I know how frustrating it can be when something just isn’t clicking. I want to work at a pace that makes sense for the individual student so that they can meet their goals in a patient, encouraging, and stimulating environment.
