About Terri

I am a FE LSA with a Second-class Theatre Degree, I hold over 20+ qualifications and certifications, including Level 8/Grade A* English Lit GCSE & Level 6/Grade B English Lang GCSE. With a passion for English I hold a Level 6 A-Level in this subject; I currently am also undertaking further studies in Psychotherapy to Masters level therefore I can provide a safe space for all manner of pupil. I pride myself on my rapport building with my students and foster a compassionate environment in which I believe all students have the capacity to pass their exams with the right support. SEND & Neurodiversity should not be a barrier to obtaining a good quality education; in my experience working 1:2:1 with students, success stories focus on reframing weaknesses and targeting areas that require support, mastering exam technique, connecting written opinion with autonomy, utilising expansive critical thinking, and developing confidence in their own abilities and instinctual knowledge.

About the lesson

• Sessions are tailored dependent on the individual needs • SEND/SpLD & neurodiversity will be accommodated accordingly • Typical length of lesson is 1hr • Compassion, patience and empathic listening are fostered with all my students. Goal and progress orientated • Several years' experience coaching young people and supporting students in secondary & FE Colleges to pass their GCSEs • English Language Entry Levels 1-3, F/S 1-2 & GCSE
