About Aviva
I’m a singing tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education, specialising in voice. My passion lies in working with choirs, vocal ensembles, and group harmony training. I focus on styles like Classical, Sacred, A Cappella, and Barbershop, helping singers blend beautifully and sing confidently in parts. I’m skilled in sight singing, solfège, choral blend, and rehearsal leadership, guiding groups through complex pieces with ease. Over the years, I’ve successfully coached school choirs, college ensembles, and community singing groups to achieve strong, unified sound. My lessons emphasise teamwork, vocal technique, and musical expression. I believe that singing together not only improves skills but also creates a joyful, supportive environment. For the Church Ensemble Player, I emphasise clear tone, breath support, and blending with a group. We work on adapting dynamics and phrasing to suit worship settings. For the Crossover Artist, I focus on versatility shifting smoothly between styles while maintaining strong vocal health. Together, we explore stylistic nuances and emotional expression for each genre. I use modern tech tools like DAWs to record and review performances, metronomes for timing, and pitch training apps to sharpen intonation. These tools help track progress and make practice more engaging. Lessons are tailored to each singer’s goals and style, encouraging creative freedom within technique. Whether blending in a choir or leading as a soloist, students develop confidence and skill. My goal is to help every singer express themselves fully and authentically across styles.
