About Tia
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music with specialisation in voice and have seven years of teaching experience with students of varying ages and skill levels. My teaching philosophy combines technical training with encouragement, fostering both skill development and confidence while making lessons engaging and enjoyable. In addition to teaching, I remain active in performance and professional workshops to refine my own abilities. This continuous involvement allows me to bring up-to-date vocal techniques, performance strategies, and creative exercises into lessons, helping students gain practical experience and inspiration for their musical growth. I am passionate about helping students discover and develop their unique voice. I adapt lessons to each learner’s strengths and challenges, celebrating progress along the way. My goal is to nurture technical proficiency, expressive artistry, and a lifelong love for singing.

As learners advance, I incorporate diction, phrasing, and expressive performance through repertoire suited to their interests, whether classical, pop, or musical theatre. This approach helps students connect technical mastery with artistry, enabling them to convey emotion, interpret music effectively, and develop a unique vocal identity. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual goals, whether preparing for auditions, improving stage presence, or singing for personal enjoyment. Through constructive feedback, guided exercises, and supportive encouragement, I create an environment where students build skill, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
