About Anaira
With 3+ years of teaching experience and a BA in Ethnomusicology (Vocal Traditions), I specialise in helping singers explore the rich world of harmony and vocal arrangement. I’m especially passionate about crafting multi-voice textures, building harmonies, and experimenting with counter-melodies. From small ensemble work to multi-track solo projects, I guide singers in shaping warm and intricate vocal blends. My teaching spans A Capella, Pop, Gospel, and R&B, focusing on both traditional techniques and modern vocal production. Lessons emphasise vocal blending, ear training, improvisation, and arranging for voices. I love working with students of all levels—from middle school learners to young professionals chasing their creative goals. I incorporate elements of music history, composition, and recording to give students a full-picture understanding. My approach is creative and technical, encouraging exploration while staying grounded in vocal discipline. We’ll use tools like loopers and recording software to hear progress and refine your sound. My aim is to help students feel confident arranging their own pieces or singing as part of a group. Every voice has a place in the harmony. My teaching method is all about helping singers succeed in real-world situations like auditions and live performances. We focus on vocal technique, but we also train performance mindset and emotional delivery. Whether you're preparing for a school musical, a college audition, or a professional callback, I’ll guide you through each step. I use targeted vocal warm-ups, breathing exercises, and repetition strategies to build consistency. We work on song selection tailored to your vocal type, style, and personality. I also help with lyric interpretation and phrasing so your performance feels natural and personal. Stage presence is a big part of what we do—we practice eye contact, gestures, and owning the space. I support you in overcoming performance anxiety through mindfulness tools and rehearsal simulations. I’ve had great success with Adult Beginners and Advanced Teens, helping them move from nervous to confident. I believe the stage belongs to everyone, no matter when you start. My lessons are structured but relaxed, with time for exploration and reflection. We’ll rehearse for pressure, so you’re calm and prepared when the spotlight turns on.
