About Parmis
I’m a dedicated and approachable tutor who believes in making learning clear, engaging, and supportive. My teaching style focuses on breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps, always encouraging students to ask questions and think critically, and connecting themes to the real world. I tailor each session to the student’s goals and pace, whether it’s preparing for an exam, building long-term skills, or gaining confidence in a subject. Every lesson is organized, respectful, and designed to help you feel both challenged and supported. Whether you're aiming for higher marks or just interested in different topics, I’m here to help you succeed.

When I tutor, my main goal is to make things clear and less overwhelming. I break concepts down step by step and explain them in a way that makes sense, using examples or visuals if it helps. I adjust how I teach based on the student—everyone learns differently, so I try to meet them where they’re at. I don’t believe in just memorizing stuff; I like to ask questions, have real conversations, and make sure the student understands the "why" behind things. A typical lesson usually starts with a quick review of the previous lesson, then we go over a new topic together, and spend time practicing or working through problems with feedback. I make sure there’s time to ask questions and clear up confusion before we end. What makes me different is that I’m really patient and I take the time to listen. As well, I'm close in age to those who I am tutoring, so there is a level of comfortability between the tutor and the student. I also create personalized examples or notes when needed, and I help with more than just the subject, like how to study smarter or tackle assignments. I mostly work with high school students in academic or AP-level courses, especially in English, history, or anything that involves writing or critical thinking.
