About Catherine
I'm originally from Austin, Texas, and have two younger sisters who keep life interesting! I've been fortunate to travel to five continents, and my love for exploring new places is a big part of who I am. I’ll be doing a year abroad as part of my graduate degree, which I’m really excited about. I love working with all types of learners, adapting to their unique needs, and seeing them grow both academically and personally. It’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of their journey!

As a certified teacher with a strong foundation in early childhood to 6th grade, my teaching methods are student-centered and adaptable. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts, ensuring students understand the material at their own pace. What makes my tutoring unique is my blend of teaching experience in both elementary education and my expertise as a history major and graduate student at Johns Hopkins University. This academic background allows me to help students not only improve their writing skills but also refine their reading comprehension abilities.
