About David

Hello, my name is David Leidner and I am a guitar/vocal instructor and a luthier. I have been an instructor and acoustic/electric instrument repairman for over 45 years. I have taught young children starting at age 6 to adults in their 80s to play the guitar and sing their favorite songs. Many of my students have gone on to professional musical endeavors, and that is what I am most proud of. As a former elementary school teacher and adult educator, I am well-versed in the cognitive learning of these groups. I even have taught blind and autistic students. The method books that I use are the Hal Leonard books 1, 2, and 3, the Guitar For The Small Fry Books, 1-A, 1-B, and the 1-C, supplemented with popular songs that introduce one to three chord(s) each lesson. I teach musical notation, strumming chords, fingerpicking, and many scales/modes in blues, rock, country, and easy, listening genres. I also teach bass guitar. I am a certified guitar/acoustic instrument, repairman/luthier. My webpage (concealed information) will show some of the repair work that I have done in the past. Most of my customers are students, former students, and word of mouth throughout the state of Texas. I would like to teach/promote your studio personally or online, and continue teaching the world to play guitar and sing.

About the lesson

I use my self-paced, musical notation, tablature, ear training methods of guaranteed success in four months.
My degree is in Elementary Education with an English and Music minor. My instruments that I teach are: voice, guitar, bass guitar, harmonica, and instrument repair. Music genres are: rock, country, blues, and folk. KEEP ON PICKIN’ !!!!!!
