About Khalila
I am a student at the University of Nevada, Reno pursuing a Nursing degree! I love reading, literature, and writing. Throughout my education I have taken a myriad of courses that have been able to help me become a more successful English tutor. Those courses include AP English Literature, AP English Language, English 102, Publich Health 211: Technical Writing in the Health Sciences and Creative writing! Outside of school, I enjoy working out, going on walks, cycling, and musical theater.

My lessons often entail a 5-10 minute warm-up centered around the day’s objective, then I proceed to working with the student with review from in class or our past sessions, for a new student this would look like a few questions being asked and forming a connection and understanding of what needs should be met. After we would lead into a reading or writing activity for 10-15 minutes, go over the work done, then see what is going well and what needs work, focusing on key ideas that will help the student succeed. Finally, the lesson concludes with a review of the lesson, answering student questions, and explaining what should be worked on outside of tutoring.
