About Vance
I'm a student of the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
English is my first language and I have a higher than average level of comprehension and vocabulary, with experience writing professional and non-professional works such as essays for academic assessment as well as creative writings.
I have an interest and passion in helping others learn the language I grew up with, being patient and friendly with students, knowing what my student is most interested in learning and gaining skill in, and helping others gain new and useful abilities in language.

I am very patient when teaching English.
I prioritise comprehension, diction, and writing, but I am flexible to focus on what the student specifically needs or is most passionate about.
My methodology is to be thorough, very open in communication, patient, and to test my student to ensure understanding while also encouraging them to personally study and practice even outside of tutoring sessions.
