Hi, I’m a singing tutor with over three years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. My passion lies in helping singers unlock their unique sound, whether they’re singing for joy or preparing for the studio. I specialise in R\&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian genres—styles that thrive on emotion, texture, and honesty. In our lessons, we dive deep into tone shaping, harmonies, phrasing, and lyric interpretation. I believe singing is more than technique—it’s storytelling with sound. I work with both hobbyists and aspiring recording artists, tailoring each session to personal goals and growth. To bridge the gap between practice and performance, I incorporate modern tech tools into our sessions. From DAWs and vocal processors to professional studio mics, we simulate the recording environment so you’re confident when it counts. We explore songwriting, layering vocals, and refining your studio presence. My goal is to help you sound great—and feel great doing it. For The Soloist in Training, the focus is on refining natural talent while building stage-ready confidence. We start with pitch perfection—using scales, intervals, and customised vocal exercises to fine-tune the ear. Regular use of ear training apps like Tenuto or Perfect Ear helps sharpen listening accuracy. Expressiveness is nurtured by exploring dynamic song styles—pop ballads for emotional range, jazz for improvisation, and musical theatre for character work. Recording sessions allow the student to hear their growth and identify areas to refine. By reviewing recordings together, we target improvement while reinforcing strengths. For The Adult Beginner, the journey starts with gentle, supportive guidance. Confidence-building is key, so we choose simple yet emotionally rich songs to start, like folk or soft rock. We use pitch correction software sparingly—not to fix, but to show progress in real time. Through tools like GarageBand or Audacity, students can record and reflect on their performances. This fosters ownership of their learning. Musicality grows as they explore rhythm, phrasing, and breath control across genres. Both personas benefit from tech-driven feedback loops and personalised song choices. With consistency and creativity, every singer finds their voice.
