About Lin

My teaching philosophy is a student-centered pedagogy with a democratic dialogue which means a transformative and democratic relationship between students and teachers, and students and learning. The goals of my teaching are to help the student construct a sound foundation, inspire the students’ interests, respect individuality, and eventually direct students to the way of lifelong learning.
Brad Henry, an American politician, summarizes the work of a teacher with a brief sentence “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning”. I do believe that my great passion for teaching and academic background will enable me to achieve such a task and fulfill my dream: “To be an excellent teacher”.
I can teach academic writing at the university level and math at the middle or high school level.
