About Lyra
I am a singing tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice, specializing in vocal performance. My teaching embraces a holistic approach that combines physical alignment, breath awareness, and authentic vocal expression. I incorporate yoga-inspired vocal warmups and body mapping to help students understand their instrument from the inside out. Tension release techniques are central to my lessons, allowing the voice to flow freely and healthily. I have a deep passion for genres like World Music, Chanting, Folk Fusion, and Healing Sound, which inspire my creative teaching style. These styles encourage connection—not just to music but to mind and body. My lessons are a journey of self-discovery, where voice becomes a tool for well-being and creative freedom. For those interested in pop and R\&B, I focus on stylization to bring out unique character and emotion in their singing. I support beginners who are building foundational skills with patience and encouragement. At the same time, I challenge more advanced learners to refine their technique and explore complex musical ideas. My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, providing clear guidance and room for artistic freedom. I create a positive, supportive space where students feel comfortable experimenting and growing.
