My name is Nikkay Douglas. I'm from Jamaica but I currently live in New York. I am currently a full-time college student and I work part-time at a daycare. I enjoy tutoring during my free time. I also love cooking and dancing.

As a tutor, my approach is centered around fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to take an active role in their education. I use a variety of teaching methods and techniques such as interactive discussions, hands-on problem-solving, and the use of multimedia resources to cater to different learning styles. A typical lesson plan begins with a brief review of the upcoming material and previous material taught followed by the introduction of new concepts. I encourage questions and facilitate discussions to promote critical thinking. What sets me apart as a tutor is my commitment to personalizing the learning experience.
