Private saxophone lessons in Houston

Teaching yourself saxophone is doable for the basics, though a few key techniques need closer attention.

• Embouchure refers to how you position your mouth on the mouthpiece to shape your sound.
• Breath support: steady airflow from the diaphragm keeps notes even and in tune.
• Sheet music and fingerings work together to turn notes on a page into sound.
• Reed maintenance and articulation shape clarity and rhythm as you play.

With a tutor guiding you, you build good habits from the start instead of correcting them later.
