Pillars of Environmental Science, with a western slant! Broadcast from home in Phoenix, AZ; USA. We will look at a little chemistry, a little biology, and a little human in the desert southwest. Shoul
- Elementary School
- Middle School
Duration : 2 hours - Price : $20.00 - Place : PhoenixThis is for students starting out in environmental science courses, interested in those courses, curious about the world and how humans interact with the environment and what we might be doing to impact negatively or positively the world around us. I might throw some philosophy at you for fun (more like environmental ethics) along the way. I encourage anyone in the sciences to take a peek into my experiences and share your own, as well. For instance... do you know what "foxfire" is? Challenge #1.
I have been teaching formally for 5 years at the collegiate and high school level. However, I have been leading volunteer groups on public lands to do trail work and environmental work for 10 years prior in the mountains of the western US. My groups are variable- as few as 5 and as many as 160 people. I prefer the smaller groups, but I am happy to share with as many as who are interested!
