About Reagan

After graduating from college, I moved to New York City to begin my career in reinsurance. I have now spent a year in the corporate space which has greatly contributed to my professional growth. Even though it has been a year since I was in school, I have spent countless hours writing essays, attending office hours, preparing presentations, and even attending tutoring sessions throughout middle and high school.

About the lesson

I have over six years of teaching and mentorship experience. As a private dance technique and choreography instructor, I worked one-on-one and in small groups with competitive high school students, creating individualized lesson plans and helping them build both technical skills and confidence. I have also served in leadership and mentorship positions, including directing the Growth & Mindset Committee for UC Berkeley’s Cal Dance Team and guiding younger members in the Carlsbad Educational Foundation’s Student Leadership Council. In these roles, I focused on fostering discipline, critical thinking, and goal-setting—skills that directly translate to academic success. My tutoring style is highly personalized and interactive. I believe in meeting students at their current level, identifying their learning styles, and using relatable, real-world examples to make concepts clear and engaging. Whether I am supporting students in pre-algebra, academic writing, or subject-specific comprehension, my goal is to help them not only excel in the classroom but also gain the confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills that will serve them for life.
