About Hector
Thirteenth generation inheritor of Chen-Style Tai Chi with 29 years’ experience of practicing and teaching Chen-Style Tai Chi and three years’ experience of Guided Chaos self-defense training. Disciple of master Guo, Junguo who is an indoor disciple of master Chen, Qingzhou. This branch is named "Zungu Chen-Style Tai Chi". Proficient in the training system of Chen-Style Tai Chi including standing postures, silk-reeling exercises, Kung Fu frames, push hands and weapon forms. Have rich experiences of teaching Chen-Style Tai Chi in schools, community centers, senior centers and by freelance. Willing to share the arts to improve people’s health and self-defense skills. Interested in exploring the values of Tai Chi through a scientific perspective.

Teaching methods:
- Explain the goals and rationale of the trainings.
- Demonstrate the exercises. Interpreting the requirements of Tai Chi trainings.
- Help students by making adjustments and corrections.
A typical lesson plan includes: warm up, standing posture, silk reeling exercises and Kung Fu frame basic forms for beginners. For more advanced students, the aimed part will be included such as push hands, canon fist forms, weapon forms or self defense practices.
My teaching aimed to interpret Tai Chi using modern concepts and knowledge systems in a way the students can really understand and receive actionable instructions.
The lessons are highly personalized to individuals who my have different levels, experiences, needs and physical/mental conditions. It's step by step and friendly to beginners. In the other side, may help those who want to pursue deep exploration of this art, Tai Chi.
