About Casey
I teach all subjects at a primary level, and GCSE English Language/Literature. I have studied education for many years and love witnessing young people's confidence develop with my support. I am a firm believer that any learner can reach their desired goals with the right support, and seek to adapt my teaching style to students' needs. I have experience working with many different personalities in learning. Whether it's supporting pupils towards meeting their exam targets, or pushing students that want an extra challenge beyond what they find in the classroom, I believe that I have the skillset to support you.

My lessons can be flexible to the pupil and their needs. I aim to go at the pupil's own pace to develop confidence in their learning, whilst helping to push them into the next stage of their learning. I aim to create a "culture of error", where my pupils can feel comfortable taking risks in their learning even if this means making mistakes, so that together we can learn even more. Typically lessons are 1 hour per week per student but these can spread out into multiple sessions if this better suits pupil needs. Lessons usually involve a quick settling in activity involving some active recall, before delving into a new topic. I will then give students some time to work on a task independently if they feel confident and we will come back to discuss their responses and expand on what they could know. If needed, I will then provide a small amount of optional homework that will allow them to refresh their knowledge throughout the week. I teach primary children in all subjects (including SATs prep and 11+) and GCSE English Literature/Language. I am genuinely very passionate about the power of learning and hope to help students find the fun in their subject!
