About Joshua
I've been a guitar teacher for the last 18 years and a musician for longer. My main focus for many years now has been jazz. I am VERY passionate about music, and also the learning process. I believe the key to getting better at music is in having the approach, avoiding frustrations and generally enjoying the process, whilst reaping the rewards. I have a 1st class honours degree in popular music, and have played in various groups and solo guitar around Scotland, including with jazz legend Dick Lee.

I have taught guitar for thousands of hours over an almost 20 year period and have developed a real intuition for how one learns the guitar, and the ability to communicate this to students. Simple key fixes to hand position and approach that prevent years of problems. Lessons can be tailored to your interests, with my focus being the method. Lesson lengths recommended 45 or 60 minutes for adults and 30 for younger kids. Lessons available to anyone, complete beginner to advanced.
