About David
I'm a current PhD student in Theoretical/Computational physics at the University of Cambridge and hold first class BA/MSci degrees from Cambridge as well. I have a great deal of familiarity with the GCSE and A-level syllabi and how they further connect into higher study, having studied and done very well at them myself before moving on to study Natural Sciences (Physics) at University. I have honed my abilities to convey complex information and inspire students through 3 years of undergraduate supervising at Cambridge, and look forward to the opportunity to help you along your own educational path too.

Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
As a family member, David has informally given me maths support over many years and for a range of topics, which I have found invaluable. He is sure to teach topics from first principles to ensure a thorough foundational understanding of why the maths topic is important and useful; this helps you appreciate why you are learning something and aids with understanding. He is patient, and keen to explain things in detail until you understand, and can go beyond the syllabus basics for more able students. David’s passion for maths comes through in his teaching which makes it enjoyable and accessible to learn with him. I highly recommend him as a tutor.
As a family member I have known David all my life, and as such I am confident that he will perform his Tutoring duties with great care and an eye for detail. He will be diligent in preparing work for each session, and providing help to each individual so that they are better prepared to tackle the subject with a greater depth of understanding, as well as giving insight to what will be expected from Examining Boards. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
David has considerable experience of tutoring at undergraduate level and brings a deep and thorough understanding of maths at all levels. He is great at explaining concepts, patient and committed to helping students engage successfully with the subject, tailoring his tutorials to individual need and learning style. Although I know him as family, I am aware of how he has helped many students in their learning and would highly recommend as he is diligent, conscientious and kind.
