About Francesca
I have a 3 year BA Hons in English Literature from the University of Oxford, and have participated in Peer Reviewing for Masters theses. I have tutored many A level students over the years, two of which just received A*s in English A2!
I am also an English Teacher in one of the most competitive academic climates in the country (Oxford, CCCS), and am therefore qualified to teach from Year 5 Literacy - specifically working with students with Dyslexia and Asperger's Syndrome - up to 6th Form A level work. I am currently the English teacher for years 5,6,7, and 8, and I also run a scholarship class for students approaching the scholarship places at MCS, Abingdon, Eton and Harrow. Thus, I can offer tutoring specifically for the common entrance papers, and specific-school-targeted scholarship exams for 11+ and 13+.

As an Oxford English graduate, I am well versed with how to write degree-level theses and dissertations, be they 2000, 3000 or 10000 words. I offer proofreading, help with planning and content shaping, and the honing of research skills necessary to excel.

I push people to their fullest potential, whatever their level. My teaching style is very interactive - we talk a lot, and most importantly, ask a ton of questions - and try and work out what you find difficult, so that we can improve it together. I teach literature because I love literature, so - no matter what the exercise - I try to use material that I would want to read, or that I believe you will enjoy. It won't be easy, but it will be fun.
