About Cian
Hi reader! I am a theoretical physics university student looking to inspire and teach young people taking maths and physics for GCSEs or A-level. If you've ever wondered what all the equations mean, or why we even bother to use them at all, then you're in the right place! I hope that with me, you'll be able to understand how powerful of a tool mathematics can be, and appreciate the insight we gain about the real world through physics. If you have dreams of being a mathematician, physicist or even something like a robotics engineer(!) then I hope I will be able to guide and inspire you towards your goals.

As a theoretical physics undergraduate, my method of approach to solving problems is to first understand what the problem is asking. This is why in my lessons I avoid the conventional "memorise this for the sake of it" approach and instead will aim to build an intuition and understanding that can be applied to a variety of different problems, and hopefully we can talk about some use-cases and real life examples too! Lessons will aim to be around an hour, as I find that many people need a break after this time period -- any longer tends to be inconducive to learning. In terms of previous qualifications, I was a 9's student throughout my GCSEs and a straight-A's student at my A-levels. I have been a part of and won maths competitions as well as spending a year of my A-levels gaining extra tutoring through Oxford University's 'Levelling Up: Physics' programme. I am now currently a first class undergraduate student. My lessons are aimed at curious students taking GCSEs and A-levels who want to gain an intuition and applicable knowledge for maths and physics.
