About Shrey
My name is Shrey Kapoor. Maths is obviously something that I enjoy, getting an A* at A level and a 9 at GCSE, but I especially relish teaching. Giving knowledge to others is incredibly enriching for me and witnessing students grow and improve with the subject under my guidance justifies all the hard work put in. Maths may only have one answer, but to get to it, highly creative methods and strong problem solving skills are needed. Few are born with it but, no doubt, it can be developed in everyone, something I strive to do with all my students.

Lessons can range from one to two hours. During them, the aim is to build confidence, pivotal for achieving top grades. This is done by encouraging students to be creative and ensuring that mistakes are not feared, creating a mental block, but appreciated as an essential part of the learning process. My use of starters and plenaries are quick and highly effective tools for consolidating knowledge, specially tailored to individual students. Overall, these methods ensure maximum retention of knowledge and elevated exam performance. In addition, a summary of strengths and weaknesses of the student is sent to parents for them to keep up with the progress being made.
