About Arnav

I’m a passionate competitive chess player who loves the game and the challenge of helping others improve. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge, guide students to reach their potential, and increase their confidence and enjoyment for chess. I enjoy customising lessons to each person and seeing clear progress, which makes tutoring extremely rewarding. My goal is to make chess accessible, interesting and enjoyable, whether for beginners just discovering the game or advanced players refining their skills.

About the lesson

My lessons are fully tailored to each student, whether you're just starting out or have tournament experience of your own. I focus on building strong foundations in openings, tactics and strategies through clear explanations supported by practical examples. A typical lesson lasts 1 hour and consists of interactive play, analysis of games and targeted exercises designed to hone in your skills. I am a 2000-rated competitive tournament player with years of experience in chess study, and I bring that knowledge into an accessible teaching style. My coaching is suitable for children, adults, and players of all levels who want to improve quickly and with confidence.
