About Sofia
You arrive at our first session ready to hold the instrument with intention. We focus on tuning and maintenance before moving into strumming patterns or complex chord transitions. My Berklee training ensures that your technical foundation supports your creative instincts. I guide you through acoustic technique and the reading of both tabs and sheet music.
Power chords and songwriting are central components of our regular meetings. You leave each session with a clearer understanding of your own musical voice. Your progress depends on these precise technical adjustments. Music is a practice of constant refinement.

Have you ever wondered why certain melodies seem to pull at your emotions while others simply pass by? I teach because I want to demystify that connection, showing how the traditions of bolero and Latin pop inform the modern acoustic guitar. 9 years of experience have taught me that rhythm is the spine of every great song. I work primarily with teens and adults who want to move past basic patterns.
201 students have shared this path with me as we examine chord transitions and songwriting. It is purely about the groove. My background as a Berklee graduate allows me to translate complex theory into simple, usable mechanics for your playing style.
