About Jimmy Kuo
I am an educator with World Figure Sport ((concealed information) and the 2021 World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships Bronze medalist. I am also the 2004 New Zealand National Figure Skating Primary Men’s Champion. I have more than 8 years of experience working with children and adults of every level in Auckland, New Zealand and Montreal, Canada. Currently, I am teaching in Newmarket, New Hampshire.

Ice skating is more than just a physical activity that improves brain-body coordination; it can improve other areas of life, such as confidence and creativity. Most importantly, it is fun! The 30-minute first free lesson will be conducted over the phone. It's a time for us to get to know each other and talk about your goals and aspirations.
Whenever we skate, the blades leave marks that form intricate patterns on the ice. These patterns are fundamental to the art of ice skating (whether it's figure skating or hockey). It is my pleasure to share the knowledge of these patterns with you so that you can create freely on the ice.
My approach to skating education focuses on the well-being of the whole person. At any age and level, skating done correctly can increase one’s quality of life in every aspect.
Over and over again, I have seen skaters doing acrobatic moves without having the necessary fundamentals of skating to properly support their body. The absence of the fundamentals of skating damages skaters physically and emotionally, a phenomenon that can be observed even at the highest levels of skating today.
I know how exciting it is to perform a triple or a quadruple jump, but we can do this without taking shortcuts and compromising the healthy development of the body and mind. It is my mission to help my students skate with physical alignment that benefits their body, with inner peace that nourishes their mind and with passion that feeds their soul.
