About CoachMax
I began boxing at age 14 and competed as an amateur between the ages of 14 and 18 within the Canadian (Quebec) boxing federations.
After returning to the sport in my 40s, I participated in eight additional amateur competitions, became the 2022 Quebec Open champion master division, and earned a gold medal at the provincial championships.
Beyond competition, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping each boxer progress safely and confidently. I am a patient, attentive communicator who focuses on strong fundamentals, precise technique, and correcting the small details that make a meaningful difference.
My coaching philosophy is not limited to teaching combinations. I help boxers develop their boxing IQ and understand when, why, and how to use different techniques. My goal is to give every student a complete toolbox so they can think independently, adapt to different opponents, and respond effectively to the challenges they encounter in the ring.

I offer technical and personalized boxing coaching for beginners, intermediate students, and more advanced boxers. My goal is to help each student develop solid fundamentals, improve coordination and footwork, correct technical weaknesses, and become a more confident and effective boxer.
A typical lesson begins with an active boxing-specific warm-up, followed by three rounds of footwork and coordination drills. We then complete three or four rounds of mitt work, focusing on technique, combinations, defense, movement, timing, and accuracy. The session also includes shadow-boxing evaluation and personalized corrections. We may finish with five to ten minutes of core exercises and stretching.
For online Zoom lessons, I use virtual mitt work, guided shadow boxing, and detailed technical demonstrations. Students can also send sparring footage for review. I provide clear comments, practical drills, and specific suggestions about what to work on between lessons.
What sets me apart is my technical attention to detail, passion for boxing, competitive experience, and ability to communicate instructions clearly. Every lesson is adapted to the student’s experience, fitness level, weaknesses, and personal goals—whether they want to learn boxing, improve their skills, get in shape, or prepare for sparring and competition.
