About Ethan
I am a first-year economics student with extensive competition experience both in and outside of chess. I am an ex-academy level football goalkeeper, ex-county hockey player and volunteered as a coach in Manchester City's outreach division. In my spare time, I love to code sports analytics and econometrics projects, mostly in Python.

If my tutee is of a decent standard, I will teach positional principles and ideas rather than sharp tactical patterns to foster more long-term development suitable for playing against opponents 100-200 rating points above them. I am also open to teaching the basics and rules of the game for beginner tutees.
