About Royce
Stiff fingers make early practice sessions feel impossible. You need a clear system. My lessons focus on fixing strumming patterns and lead guitar phrasing for teens and working professionals. I draw on my 6 years of experience to ensure your grade exam prep is efficient.
Each session includes a practice module to keep momentum high during your week. We will work through rhythm guitar and fingerpicking until the movements feel like second nature. Years of professional study left me with a Master of Music in Voice which surprisingly sharpened my grasp of string mechanics and music theory. I admit that I often hum the guitar lines while I teach so my students can internalise the rhythm.
My 6 years of experience focus on barre chords and fingerpicking for absolute beginners and returning learners. Teaching 263 students has reinforced my belief that structured acoustic technique is the key to progress.
I enjoy helping self-taught players clean up their messy scales and modes. My approach remains grounded in the formal training I received at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I am always happy to share my personal library of study materials with you.
