About Aditya

I know how scary and daunting the syllabuses can be, as I have been throughout it!

I understand the importance of tutoring as it is unlikely that schools get through the content in the very limited time there is in a school day, and that's where I come in. Tutoring allows students to gain a much greater understanding of the content and with the right person guiding them, anything is possible!

During my school days, I saw that it was hard to understand everything the teachers cover all in one go. There are 2 main reasons for this: there is too much content for cover so teachers have to go fast and the content is not easy. Consolidating the content is absolutely crucial in achieving the top grades.

I have been tutoring for over a year and worked at Kumon throughout my time in sixth form. Through this experience, I have learnt that it is important to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each student and understanding how they approach is crucial in helping them grow. At Kumon, I ran many group tutoring sessions, as well as bi-weekly 1-to-1 tutoring sessions with students of all abilities and saw improvements with all my students as well as good reviews in my teaching style and personality.

About the lesson

I will typically explain the topic to the student and go over related questions with the student. If/when the student becomes is comfortable with answering the question with me, I will ask the student to answer similar question without any help. We will go over the answer and I will make sure they understand why they are right/wrong.

Lessons are typically 1 hour, though I am happy to conduct longer sessions upon request (let me know in advance so I can free up my schedule).

Throughout sixth form, I was a classroom assistant at Kumon and after working there for 4 months, I was promoted to classroom head as I had received very good reviews from parents and was recommended for the new role by the old classroom head due to my good engagement with students and improvements in scores for 1-to-1 students.

My lessons are typically for GCSE and A-Level students, but I am happy to work with younger students that require tutoring.
