About Joshua

I am a 2nd year medical student at Cambridge University. I have a thorough understanding of biology, chemistry, physics and maths and would like to teach that to students to help them reach their potential. Teaching brings great satisfaction to me as I will be able to pass on my knowledge and help others.

About the lesson

Hello, I'm Josh! As a medical student at Cambridge University and an enthusiastic tutor, I specialise in providing personalised academic support to students of various grade levels. With a strong academic background and a passion for teaching, I aim to empower students to achieve their full potential across multiple subjects.

Having excelled in my own academic journey, including achieving A* grades in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at both A-level and GCSE, I bring a comprehensive understanding of these subjects. Additionally, my broad range of knowledge allows me to offer tutoring in other subjects such as science, specifically biology and chemistry.

My tutoring approach revolves around creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions, explore concepts, and enhance their confidence. I believe in customizing my teaching methods to suit each student's unique learning style and needs, ensuring that they grasp complex concepts effectively. The typical length of my lessons are one hour.

Whether it's explaining intricate scientific theories or guiding students through problem-solving strategies, my goal is to make learning enjoyable and accessible. I foster a growth mindset and encourage my students to develop critical thinking skills that go beyond rote memorization, empowering them to become lifelong learners.

By providing a combination of subject-specific knowledge, study techniques, and exam preparation strategies, I aim to equip students with the tools they need to succeed academically. Moreover, I emphasize the importance of organization, time management, and effective study habits, enabling students to become independent learners.

If you're seeking a dedicated tutor who is committed to your success and passionate about helping you thrive in multiple subjects, I would be thrilled to work with you. Let's embark on this educational journey together and unlock your true potential!
