About Madeleine
I am a third-year Biomedical Science student at the University of Otago. I was Dux of Wā Ora Montessori School, achieved an NZQA Scholarship in Statistics, and was awarded a University of Otago Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship. I am passionate about science and committed to helping students build confidence through a supportive, professional, and encouraging tutoring approach. Outside of my studies, I enjoy netball, running, dancing, baking, outdoor adventures, and exploring all things science.

I use a structured but flexible teaching approach, focusing on building strong conceptual understanding through clear explanations, worked examples, and guided practice. I have experience tutoring NCEA students through My Tuition and NumberWorks, which has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles and needs. Lessons are typically one hour in length, with one lesson per week, although this can be adjusted depending on each student’s goals and workload. Lessons are delivered online via Google Meet, after school or on weekends. I tutor high school students in NCEA Maths (Years 9–12), Statistics (Years 9–13), and the sciences—Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (Years 11–13).
