About Shanzay
I’m a Chemistry undergraduate at the University of Birmingham, entering my 4th year Master’s programme this October. I know how challenging Chemistry can be, full of complex concepts and tricky terminology. My goal is to make it accessible, engaging, and understandable for students aiming for top grades. My teaching style focuses on: - Simplifying difficult topics to build strong foundations. - Creating a supportive atmosphere where students feel confident to ask questions and actively contribute. - Maximising exam success through extensive past paper practice — applying knowledge to real exam questions helps solidify understanding, build exam technique, and reduce surprises on the day. My ultimate aim is not only to help students excel in exams, but also to inspire a genuine interest in STEM, a field full of exciting opportunities. Structured, supportive, and results-driven lessons to boost confidence and performance.

I offer structured, engaging lessons designed to build confidence and exam success: 1. Specification Review – covering exactly what you need to know. 2. Concise Lessons – clear explanations with focused notes. 3. Practice Questions – applying knowledge to exam-style problems. 4. Active Recall – quick-fire questions to reinforce understanding. Lessons are 1 hour (flexible), in a supportive environment where every student feels included and confident to contribute. I specialise in Chemistry (GCSE & A-Level), but can also tutor Biology and Physics (GCSE). My students typically range from ages 14-18, preparing for GCSEs or A-Levels. I’ve previously worked with Ucademy, where I was also a student during my own GCSEs and A-Levels. Also a teaching internship at St Edmund Campion Catholic school.
