About Luca

My name is Luca Fiore. I am a 3rd Year Civil Engineering Student at McMaster University. I have 3+ years of experience tutoring and creating test prep sessions for High School students. I enjoy teaching and I aim to better the learning experience of all students. School doesn't have to be so hard.

About the lesson

My approach when teaching is based upon the individual and how they can succeed.

General Format (60 min session):

Part 1 (15-25 mins)
1) Identify what we plan to learn and why (1-5 mins)
2) Introduction to topic and relevant theory (5-10 mins)
3) Bite sized example problems related to topic (5-10 mins)

Part 2 (35-45 mins)
1) "Test" or "Exam" level problems
2) Identifying errors and why those errors occurred | How to approach these types of questions | What hints does the question give you?

Part 3
- A summary of material learned and frequent mistakes

Advantages to these sessions!!!!

i) Sessions are structurally dynamic
ii) Example based
iii) Students will receive "Exam" or "Test" level worksheets for Calculus, Mechanics, Dynamics or Statics courses.

Can be done online or in-person!!! (Niagara Region, ON)

Who are these sessions for?

1) High School Math (Algebra, Advanced Functions....) or Physics Students
2) Pre-Calc, Calculus 1 or 2 Students
3) Elementary Math students (preK-8)
4) Level 1 or Year 1 Civil or General Engineering Students
