About William
I'm a 3rd year Civil Engineering student based in Plymouth. I grew up in Dubai, where I sat my GCSEs in Mathematics, Statistics, Further Mathematics and Physics, as well as my A levels in Mathematics (specialising in Mechanics modules), Physics and Chemistry. I love to help others with their understanding of topics that they are struggling with, and always endeavour to explore different methods of teaching if they still don't understand it from my previous approaches. Even if a topic isn't one included in my areas of expertise or knowledge, I will do my best to research that topic until I have enough of an understanding of it so that I can then share with others.
Outside of academics, I love the outdoors and taking part in sports like volleyball, trampolining, slacklining and various circus skills.

My lessons will typically be no longer than an hour in length, any longer and I find student attention span and patience tends to drop. My lessons are for students studying for their GCSE qualifications in Maths. I am familiar with exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, WJEC and OCR. I initially start a session with some background information about the topic we would be covering, followed by some step by step examples I will work through with the student, then some questions for the student to tackle on their own, and if all goes well, some exam style questions and things to look out for.
