About Bianca

In 2018, I obtained my Italian high school diploma with a final result of 100/100. I currently am a third-year student in History of Art and Film at the University of Glasgow. I am very passionate about culture and am keen on engaging people with art and making it accessible to everyone through my lessons.

I have a consolidated experience with tutoring high school students and adults, both individually and in groups in the following subjects: History of Art, English, Spanish and German.

About the lesson

My priority as a tutor is to focus on the student’s needs; therefore, first and foremost I aim to get a good understanding of the pupil’s subject knowledge and personality in order to deliver a targeted learning experience more accurately and effectively.

Given the unique opportunity of 1:1 teaching, I design my lessons to be as interactive as possible, since that allows the student to stay focused for longer and learn in a more enjoyable way. To revise factual information, I will, for example, use mind maps and information association methods to ensure that the student is actively memorizing, rather than just reading.

For exam preparation, I will provide a strong foundation on techniques and essay planning, enabling the student to prepare on a wider range of topics through a more applicable method.

I keep track of my student’s progress through simulated assessments according to the set goals for the lessons and basic revision questions at the beginning of each lesson. Witness the tutee’s engagement and improvement in the subject is a great satisfaction for me, and I hope to encourage students to develop an interest for the field of study and learn more.
