About Ankur

Hi guys, I am a third-year law student, currently in semester 6. I have an immense interest in IPC and any criminal law subject. I will be only focusing on IPC because I have learned that subject and I believe myself to be proficient enough to teach you guys. I studied IPC in my second year which is a plus point because my memory is still fresh and since I am a law student I know what is important, what is not, and how exactly to ace this subject. I have pre-made self-notes and also, I only teach through the bare act. So if you are coming to my class be sure enough to either download a pdf copy or buy an IPC bare act. I prefer having a physical copy of the book. I also have a legal blog where I often write about judgments related to criminal law. Even if you are just passing by, and won't join this class, that is okay, but I would urge you guys to check the Supreme Court home page every day. There are so many cases there, and you guys should try to decode the wordings of justice, that has helped me a lot and was given to me as a great tip by my mentor. If you will however join this class, that is wonderful and I cannot wait to interact with you.

About the lesson

• The classes would be online-based.
• Online platforms to be used are zoom or google meet as per student’s convenience.
• Learning techniques are:
o Ppts
o Notes
o And normal lectures
• Topics to be taught: Indian Penal Code
• Practice tests will be held every week.
• Class timings: would be decided upon student’s convenience
• Limit of students in 1 batch: 5
• Time limit of classes: 1 hours, can extend up to 1.30 hours
• Communication would be held via email and WhatsApp (a WhatsApp group)
• What happens when one class is missed?
o If the reason to miss that class is reasonable, I would help the student revise that topic.
o However if the reason for absence is not reasonable, no revision would be done and the student will have to wait until the last day when I will revise the entire syllabus.
o To check whether the reason for absence was reasonable or not, I will be personally calling the parent to let them know about the child's absence and reason of absence.
• Attendance will be taken at the end of every lecture.
• If the students have any issue regarding my teaching techniques or the study material they can freely state the same in the class or can email me or personally write to me over WhatsApp.
• It is expected of the student that he/she reads the given reading material that will be given before the class starts.
• Classes will be held on alternative days, even on Sundays.
o Slot 1: Mon-Wed-Fri-Sun
o Slot 2: Tues-Thurs-Sat-Sun
• Doubts will be held at the end of every lecture.
• Classes will start upon revising the previous lectures at the beginning of the classes.
• Assignments will be given to every student and it is going to be their duty to complete that assignment before the deadline.
