About William
Hi, I’m William! I’m currently studying Mechanical Engineering and have recently completed a paid engineering internship, where I was able to apply mathematics, problem-solving and technical skills in a professional environment.
Alongside my engineering studies, I have experience working as a tutor and really enjoy helping students understand topics that may initially seem difficult or overwhelming. I know that math and physics can sometimes feel confusing when they are taught too quickly, so I aim to be patient, approachable and explain concepts in a way that makes sense to each individual student.
I enjoy seeing students become more confident in their abilities and eventually reach the point where they can tackle problems independently. Whether a student wants to catch up, improve their grades or push themselves further, I’m happy to adapt my teaching to their goals.

My approach to tutoring is focused on making difficult concepts simple and easy to understand. Rather than just giving students formulas or answers, I work through problems step-by-step and explain the reasoning behind each method so students can confidently solve similar questions themselves.
I tailor each lesson to the individual student, whether that means reviewing difficult topics, working through school assignments, preparing for exams, or strengthening fundamental maths and physics skills. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student's needs.
I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering and have experience tutoring students in mathematics. My engineering studies have given me a strong practical understanding of maths and physics, which I enjoy using to make abstract concepts more intuitive and relevant.
My lessons are suitable for high school students of varying ability levels, from students who need extra support to those looking to improve their grades or prepare for upcoming assessments.
