About Shourya
My name is Shourya Sharma and I am a 3rd year medical student at Newcastle University. I am an international student from Malaysia and ethnically I am Indian. I did IGCSE and the IB in school so I am well versed in topics at high school level. I have past tutoring experience as I used to teach students in 1st year of uni as well. I believe I am a friendly, helpful and dedicated indvidual who will be there to support you guys in the required steps for your lessons and will make personalised sessions for your teaching sessions!

I believe I use a problem solving teaching method; I like to discuss with students where their main deficits or weaknesses are and then like to prioritise those areas by making individualised and personalised sessions that would work with the particular student. But at the same time I it is important to keep polishing their more stronger areas in order to make sure the student is holistic. A typical lesson plan would be wanting to know what the student wants to focus on during the session first and then split the remaining session into 50% content revision/ teaching and then the remaining 50% into practicing questions.
I can teach Maths, Science and Biology to GCSE students.
