About Shiori

I'm a friendly and dedicated third-year Psychology student with a particular passion for research methods, cognitive psychology, and experimental psychology. I've always been curious about how people think and learn - I love helping others understand the subject in a way that actually clicks. Outside of studying, I'm a creative person at heart - I love art, music, and films, and I often find that visualising information helps me solve tricky problems more effectively. Whether it's mind maps, diagrams, or breaking down theories into real-world examples, I aim to make psychology feel engaging and practical. I really admire ambition and dedication, and I believe psychology can be a path to so many different careers. My goal is to help students not just do well academically, but also find a passion for psychology for what it can open up in the future!

About the lesson

Hey! I'm a third-year Psychology student at university with a strong academic background and a real passion for making psychology easier to understand. I offer online lessons for GCSE, A-level, and 1st year university psychology students, focusing on breaking down tricky topics, improving essay structure, and building exam confidence. What my lessons are like: - I tailor each session to what you need - whether it's understanding a specific theory, reviewing past papers, or improving essay technique. - I use simple, clear explanations, active recall questions, and visual tools (like mind maps or diagrams) to help you retain information! - My sessions are friendly, relaxed, and student-led - no pressure, just progress! Lesson length: Most sessions are 50-60 minutes, but I can offer shorter revision boosts (30-45 minutes) if preferred. Teaching style: I believe in building confidence and understanding rather than memorising facts. I ask questions, check in regularly to make sure you're following, and adjust based on your learning style! Who I teach: - A-level Psychology students (AQA, Edexcel, or OCR) - GCSE Psychology students - University students in their first year who need support with theories, research methods, or academic writing If you're looking for a tutor who's recently been through the same system and can explain things in a way that actually makes sense - I'd love to help!
