About Charlie
I am in my final year of Mathematical Sciences UCC and began giving grinds to junior cert students while in 6th year. I loved helping others learn and understand Maths when they have previously struggled. Since then, I have had 8-10 students come to me for grinds at Leaving Cert level each week for the whole year, for the last 3 years. I also have 2 years experience tutoring Maths modules at University level in front of 100+ students. I maintain an excellent track record with no bad reviews and hope to keep things this way!

Hi there! My lessons are held online via MS Teams. I do my lessons using an iPad, and share the screen to the student. This way the student can see the workings of problems, like a digital whiteboard setup. I also share with the student the pdf document of all the workings and questions for them to save after the lesson.
I tailor each lesson to the students needs, typically focusing each lesson on a topic of their choice. I will walk the student through an example problem, doing it for them and clearly explaining each step and the reasoning behind them. After this example I like to provide another similar question, giving them hints to proceed so that they can build a logical thought process to approach any problem of the topic.
In summary, I like to make sure the student has clear examples to study off, understanding the background theory, and attempt questions themselves under supervision so I can help them get stuck and answer questions, ensuring proper learning of thr course
