When my son started AP Precalculus as a sophomore in high school, he was having a very difficult time. During the first quarter, he was failing several tests and his overall grade had fallen to a low C. We knew he was capable of much more, but he needed a teacher who could explain the material in a way that truly made sense.

From the very beginning, James was patient, encouraging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He helped my son build a strong understanding of the concepts instead of simply memorizing formulas. As my son’s confidence grew, so did his grades.

By the end of the school year May 2026, my son had raised his average to 89 percent, a tremendous improvement from where he had started. Then came the biggest accomplishment of all. When the AP Precalculus exam results were released, he earned a 5, the highest score possible. This is an achievement earned by only the strongest students and is a testament to both my son’s hard work and James’s outstanding instruction.
