About
Steve Grody Self Defense, established in 1984 in Los Angeles, has earned international acclaim for its approach to self-defense training. Run by Steve Grody, a direct student of Bruce Lee's assistant, Dan Inosanto, the company offers private lessons in Jeet Kune Do, Filipino martial arts, and Lameco Eskrima. The emphasis is on practical and effective techniques for real-life scenarios. Instruction is dynamic, focusing on natural responses rather than memorized patterns, and is suitable for beginners. The company also provides training in Chinese Qi Gong breathing exercises. Steve Grody Self Defense hosts occasional public seminars.
