About
Jim has been teaching music for over 20 years in New England, North Carolina and now in Tennessee. He teaches piano, voice, drums and beginning guitar lessons in person and online. He uses several reputable curriculums in each instrument. He uses recitals to both motivate the student as well as showcase their progress. His goal is to motivate his students in learning their instrument to their full potential, to have a well rounded knowledge of music and to love and enjoy it! Jim has extensive experience in piano, voice and drums, in live performance as well as in recording and arranging. He has taught students from the ages of 4 to 92! While he has found the in- person teaching method to be a valuable experience, in recent years, he has discovered various advantages to online remote teaching. The student has the advantage of being taught from the comfort of home, on their own instrument and having the advantage of getting assistance with optimal posture and equipment set-up. The convenience of the online lesson can also be an advantage to parents scheduling multiple students for various activities throughout their busy week.
